a beautiful book about beautiful engines

I loved this book. The author chose an excellent selection of engines. The book gives a good, early history of the development of the internal combustion engine and detailed descriptions of how the engines work. This is a book I will go back to read and to refer to. Great photos ! Terrific work !

Wonderful Picture History! Best Ever on this Interesting Subject.

If you like old stationary engines, you will absolutely love this book -- the choice of engines is historically significant, descriptions are accurate and quite detailed, and the photography is superb. The paper is quality clay coated stock. This is a first class book in every way and a must for those interested in early stationary engines.

Condition was better than expected

Condition was better than expected. Books looks almost brand new. Love the pictures and history. Every year, a local fairground holds a "Steam Engine Show" and these old engines are a big part of the show - I could sit and watch these engines run/work for hours.
